The quiet south of the Red Sea: intact fringing reefs, seagrass meadows with a real shot at dugongs and turtles, plus boat trips to offshore reefs like Elphinstone. If you rate reef quality over nightlife, this is your spot. Quieter than Hurghada, better reefs.

A Sinai classic with walls and drift dives: schools of barracuda and snapper cruise past the southern tip, and the Thistlegorm wreck sits within day-trip range. The currents make many sites best suited to divers with some experience. Ras Mohammed National Park — top spot for drift dives.
