A stunt runs through clear phases: load-in, dip, extension, stabilisation, dismount. The dip is where the energy gets loaded — bases and flyer bend their knees together and extend on the same count. Lose that synchronicity and the force transfer breaks, so the stunt dies halfway up. The most common fault is therefore not a lack of strength but a lack of timing: everyone dips to their own rhythm, or the flyer sits into the bases instead of pressing with them. The fix is always the same and always loud — count the eight-count out loud until it lives in your body. Simply pushing harder makes it worse: a stunt that fails on the dip fails on rhythm, not on muscle.
