Rivière du Rempart
The Anse la Raie lagoon sits behind a reef about 2.5 km offshore: 1–2 m deep near the shore, 2–4 m further out, with a 300 m sandy beach to launch from. The centre on the beach hands out SUP boards mainly on windless days. From May to October the trade wind runs side-shore across the lagoon at 15–25 knots — then it belongs to the kiters, with a rescue boat standing by.

Black River
The lagoon off Le Morne is knee- to waist-deep and flat, with the reef about 400 m out. The centre on the beach keeps SUP and surf boards and hands them out at no extra charge when the wind fails. April to October blows 15–26 knots, November to March 12–20 knots from east to south-east; the steadiest conditions fall between June and November.

Pamplemousses
Off Trou aux Biches on the north-west coast lies a lagoon sheltered by a coral reef: shallow, calm, with a long sandy beach. SUP here means an easy loop inside the lagoon, not a wave session. At the resort on the beach, boards are part of the free watersports alongside kayaks, sailing and windsurfing — a spot for beginners and families.
