Aganoa Beach

Savai'i Süd · Best time: May–Oct · All levels

A reef break right off the beach on Savai'i — Samoa Tourism notes it is within easy paddling distance and needs no boat, with sizes from small to large and waves reliable in every season. The best swell direction is south-southeast; watch for rocks and sharks.

Salani

Upolu Südost · Best time: May–Oct · Advanced

Two waves break off the reef: World Surfaris says the right barrels at any size and has a defined channel back out, while the left gets faster and hollower down the line — both intermediate to advanced, over coral reef and flat rock. It's a long paddle, so most go by boat; south swells run April to October.

Upolu

Upolu · Best time: May–Oct · All levels

The island flips with the season: April to October, Southern Ocean swells hit the south shores of Upolu and Savai'i; November to January, North Pacific swells switch on the north shores. It breaks over reef, and spots like Salani are usually reached by boat.
