Off Pomonte beach lies the Elviscot, a 62 m cargo ship that ran aground in 1972. The wreck rests about 150 m from shore in 12 m of water with almost no current — workable for less experienced divers and visible from the surface while snorkelling. Going inside is for guided, experienced divers only. Bream, morays and conger eels live around it.

The Porto Cesareo marine protected area holds sites for every level: Il Camino at 5 to 12 m and the 2nd-century BC Roman marble columns at 5 to 7 m are within snorkelling reach, while Grotta delle Corvine runs 50 m horizontally to a depth of 17 m. Deeper options are the Neuralia wreck at 33 m and a Junkers 88 at about 36 m.
