That's the core of flow: not strength, but timing. Instead of fighting the trail, you work with it. And it pays off twice — it makes you faster and safer, because you brake less and roll more. A tired racer who has to pedal fades at the bottom of the run; a rider in flow rolls past him without being out of breath. The very same body motion (drop low, then extend) is also the foundation for jumping: if you can pump, you've half-learned the takeoff timing.
