The bulletin often names dangerous aspects (e.g. "north faces above 2200 m"). Compare that to your planned route - a slope that seems safe overall might sit exactly in the named aspect.
Avalanche danger changes with weather, time of day, and fresh snowfall. Check the bulletin the day before AND the morning of the trip - a night of wind or fresh snow can completely change the situation.
The bulletin doesn't replace your own on-the-ground terrain assessment - it's the starting point, not the final word. Always combine it with what you actually see: fresh cracks, whumpfing sounds in the snowpack, recently released avalanches are warning signs that outweigh any forecast.
