Adršpach

Königgrätz · Best time: May–Sep · All levels

Sandstone towers in the Adrspach rock labyrinth: around 2,000 towers and rocks have been climbed, and route development goes back to the 1920s. The roughly 50-metre Skalni koruna tower is a common objective; weekend and week-long courses with trained instructors run for newcomers.

Böhmische Schweiz

Ústí

Sandstone climbing under conservation rules: climbing is permitted solely on designated towers and rock massifs within six areas (Hřensko, the Kamenice gorges, Vysoká Lípa, Jetřichovice, Na Tokání, Kyjov-Brtníky). Inside the park's quiet zones you may only reach the rock on marked access paths, and the same rules apply in the adjoining protected landscape area.

Böhmisches Paradies

Liberec · Best time: Apr–Oct · All levels

Sandstone towers with strict climbing ethics: cams, nuts and other metal gear are banned, chalk too, and there is hardly any bolting — protection comes from knotted slings and prusiks. Routes run up to about 25 metres over slabs, vertical and slightly overhanging faces with small holds. Season from early spring to late autumn.
